General

What exactly is this game?
zero . nine nine seven is a game where you have to fly your ship through levels without directly controlling it. You have four boosters that can push your ship in one of the main directions (up,down,left,right). The pattern when a booster has to be engaged and when it has to be disengaged is planned before the level starts. Once you are comfortable with your control sequene you start the level and will see if your work was correct.

Should i really buy the beta version?
No. Because you can't. The final game will probably be free and so is the beta version.

How about more levels !!!
Everyone who bought the beta or final version will be able to get all new levels once they are available. Note: We are working on several new missions with additional levels which should be available within the month (date: 2 September 2009)

Installation

What platforms are supported?
We officially support Windows, Linux and Wine.

Why is Wine supported if you already support Linux?
Wine runs under Linux, BSD, Mac OS and Solaris. This means by supporting Wine we get BSD, Mac OS and Solaris support for free. However we only test the linux wine setup regularly, but we assume that the other platforms work just as well.

General installation notes.

Windows

Currently no problems with the windows version are known. But this will very likely change in the future ;)

Linux

You should not install the game as root and not in one of the system directories (i.e. /usr/local/games), because the config file is written in the directory where the game is installed. Instead install it to your home directory.
Use the start_timejet.sh script if you encouter problems with missing libraries.

How do i start in fullscreen mode?
Under Windows use the script timejet_fullscreen.bat
Under Wine run the game with wine timejet_v2.exe f
Under Linux use the script timejet_fullscreen.sh

Bugs

Problem with Nvidia cards on Linux.
With latest proprietary Nvidia drivers the coder has some strange vertical stripes drawn onto that area. If they are too annoying you may switch to the Wine version, which does not have this Problems, until this problem is fixed.
